If you need fun and engaging October activities for Kindergarten then look no further. They are here! I have made a center pack that includes 12 fun and engaging activities with “I can” statements. These are a hit with my students every year! I know you will love them just as much as we do!
Storage and Activities
These centers are easy to organize and store. You can use file folders and simply place them in a filing cabinet. You can also store these in Ziploc bags. I prefer the folders BUT sometimes Ziploc bags are just easier since they are on our supply list. Either way, the cover makes a great addition because it shows a visual example of what they are doing at that center. If you store them in folders or bags, they are also mobile and can easily be taken anywhere around the room.
I recommend using the table of contents page as a guide to know which skills will be covered. You will laminate and cut it out and tape to the back of the container. This pack has 6 literacy centers and 6 math centers.
This is one way to store centers. If you have these Sterilite bins, simply place the file folders inside. First, you will need to make sure they are not the long envelopes. Brown/Manila envelopes come in difference sizes. You will want to check and make sure they fit inside your Sterilite bin.
This pack will cover multiple skills. These skills include: handwriting, case matching, sight words, beginning sounds, counting, shapes, subitizing and addition. Most of the centers just require the use of a dry erase marker but most of them do not require anything extra at all!
If you like these centers then be sure to check out my other Kindergarten activities for October. I have listed some of the best read-aloud books for the month along with great activities that accompany them. You can read more about that post here!
