St. Patrick’s Day Crafts As you know, St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon! St. Patrick’s Day Crafts are just calling our names. It’s the perfect time to celebrate all of your Irish roots with some crafts and activities. Here are some ideas for celebrating St. Patrick’s day in kindergarten.
St. Patrick’s Day Crafts
Rainbows
St. Patrick’s Day Crafts Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day Crafts like a simple rainbow craft. If you had watercolors on your supply list, this is the perfect time to use them. You can use watercolors to make a simple St. Patrick’s Day rainbow craft.

Pot of Gold
Another fun idea for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in kindergarten is to make a pot of gold! The children can use pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks to create the shape and then decorate with glitter and other materials OR you can get this pot of gold craft as an exclusive freebie on my email list here.
Leprechaun Hats
These little leprechaun hats are easy enough that even young ones will be able to help make them. Simply cut out a hat shape and trace onto green construction paper, then let your little ones decorate with glitter or other St. Patrick’s Day-themed decorations! You can staple this to a sentence strip or tape on a wooden skewer.

Leprechaun
This cute leprechaun is part of my book companion pack if you are looking for a story. The Night Before St. Patrick’s Day is a fun story to read for the week!

Shamrocks
One of the most well-known symbols of St. Patrick’s Day is the shamrock; it can be used for many different activities and crafts. You can make a simple shamrock craft out of construction paper, or use them as part of a larger project like a St. Patrick’s Day collage. Your whole class can contribute to the class collage which makes for a great team-building SEL activity.
Rainbow Slime
And of course, no St. Patrick’s Day craft list would be complete without some rainbow slime! This is one that the kids will love playing with long after March 17th has passed; make sure you stock up on borax and contact lens solution to get the slime just right. This is a great way to pull in science and states of matter for your kindergarten students. I just love cross-curricular content! You can give different table groups their own color a make a class rainbow at the end.

Rainbow Chalk
I get it. Slime is way too involved… so here is an easier activity and you can get your students outside if the weather is nice. Just add chalk!
